The iconic Palm Beach Tower, located directly in front of the Riu Antillas Hotel, is set to undergo significant renovations beginning on July 13. Minister of Tourism Dangui Oduber expressed his satisfaction with the initiation of this project, emphasizing its importance for Aruba’s tourism sector. The renovation, led by local artist Paul Wong, is scheduled to continue until July 25, 2024.
This renovation is part of a broader effort to enhance and beautify Aruba’s attractions. Minister Oduber recalled that the tower had previously been restored in 2018 through a collaborative effort with the Riu Hotel, which funded half of the necessary costs at that time. Unfortunately, due to harsh weather conditions and natural wear, the previous repairs did not hold up as expected, necessitating this new round of restorations.

The Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with the Aruba Tourism Authority, has secured the funds required for this project. This time, they plan to use more durable materials to ensure the longevity of the repairs. During the renovation period, access to the Palm Beach Tower will be restricted.
