Major American airline companies announce increase for more regular flights to Aruba in 2023

Oranjestad – Various major American airline companies recently announced a serious increase in their flight frequency to Aruba from various destinations for 2023 and 2024. These airlines include American Airlines, jetBlue, Delta and Spirit. These additional flight and new routes will continue to connect Aruba with internation destinations, reinforcing the promise that Aruba Airport would continue to search for new opportunities and expand the islands global reach is what the executive of aviation commercial development Jo-anne Meaux-Arends said.


American Airlines recently announced in increase in the capacity to Aruba starting this month with 13 weekly flights on the route to Charlotte, an increase from 1 to 8 weekly flights on the Philadelphia route compared to 2019. Additonally, on the Miami flights will increase the daily flights from one to two flights in September and October.


Jetblue is considered as the second-largest airline and announce to restart their Newark that will start on the 17th of June and fly on Saturdays.


Spirit Airlines also confirmed an increase in the Fort Lauderdal route going from one flight per week to daily flights.


Delta also announced recently that they will increase the capacity and their operation on their routes for the winter of 2023/2024. In the announcement it was stated that they will increase the frequency to Aruba in January 2024 by adding a second daily flight to Atlanta for January 2024.


Canada also announced an increase in 2023 with Air Canada announcing the restart of flights to Toronto with 3 weekly flights starting this November. WestJet also announced an increase with the flight frequency in winter 2023 but have not announced how many flights.
