Frontier Airlines Returns to Aruba with New Nonstop Flights from Atlanta

ORANJESTAD — After a three-year pause, Frontier Airlines is making a return to the sunny shores of Aruba—this time launching a brand-new route from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL). Starting May 24, 2025, the airline will operate weekly nonstop flights every Saturday, reconnecting U.S. travelers with Aruba’s white-sand beaches and Caribbean warmth through the summer season.

The seasonal service will continue through August 16, 2025, and will be operated using an Airbus A321, accommodating 230 passengers per flight. The schedule is as follows:

• Departing Atlanta (ATL): 10:13 AM → Arriving in Aruba (AUA): 2:20 PM
• Departing Aruba (AUA): 3:35 PM → Arriving in Atlanta (ATL): 7:55 PM

This new connection strengthens Aruba’s presence in the southeastern U.S. market, offering additional options for travelers while increasing seat capacity during the island’s high-traffic summer travel period.

Strengthening Aruba–Atlanta Connections

Frontier’s entry into the Atlanta-Aruba route adds healthy competition to a corridor already served by Delta Air Lines, which operates twice-daily flights. Frontier’s more budget-friendly model introduces an affordable alternative for leisure travelers and families planning a Caribbean escape.

A Comeback After COVID-Related Cancellations

Frontier Airlines initially launched service to Aruba in November 2021, operating flights from Miami. However, those were temporarily discontinued just two months later due to the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The airline has now officially reintroduced Aruba to its international route map, this time via Atlanta, marking a confident step forward in its Caribbean expansion strategy.
