Celebrating King’s Day in Aruba: A Vibrant Tradition

King’s Day, or “Dia di Rey” in Aruba, is a joyous celebration that marks the birthday of the reigning monarch of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It’s a time for Arubans and visitors alike to come together, celebrating unity, heritage, and festivity.

King’s Day holds special significance, symbolizing the enduring connection between Aruba and the Netherlands, rooted in centuries of shared history and mutual respect. The color orange, prominently seen during the festivities, pays tribute to the Dutch royal family, known as the House of Orange-Nassau, and signifies national pride and togetherness.
