The spirit of Carnaval filled the air at Carnival Village as Aruba came together for a festive and unforgettable evening celebrating the election of the Queens of Carnaval 2026. Music, color, dance, and excitement set the tone for a night dedicated to culture, tradition, and the future of Aruba’s most cherished celebration.
A Lively Night at Carnival Village
The program unfolded seamlessly, keeping the audience entertained from start to finish. Families, supporters, and Carnaval lovers gathered to cheer on the contestants, creating an atmosphere filled with joy and island pride. The evening opened with the election of the Reina Infantil, a segment that highlighted the importance of passing Carnaval traditions on to the next generation.
Reina Infantil Competition
Three young contestants took the stage, each proudly representing her district or Carnaval group. Their performances were full of energy, confidence, and playful creativity. Through dance and movement, the girls expressed their love for Carnaval, filling the stage with smiles and excitement.
After a delightful competition, the judges announced the results. Amélie Koolman, representing the district of Noord, was crowned Reina Infantil di Carnaval 2026. Her performance charmed both the judges and the audience, earning her a well deserved crown and a special place in Aruba’s Carnaval history.
The Search for the Reina di Carnaval
Following the children’s competition, the spotlight shifted to the election of the Reina di Carnaval 2026. Three strong candidates stepped forward, each carrying the spirit and identity of her Carnaval organization. Their performances were dynamic and expressive, showcasing not only dance skills but also storytelling, emotion, and cultural pride.
Each candidate delivered a memorable presentation, making the decision a challenging one for the judges. After the traditional appearance alongside the Prince of Carnaval, the final results were revealed.
The title of Prome Finalista was awarded to Ashantee Martus of HEPA Dance Society, whose performance stood out for its personality and rhythm. The crown of Reina di Carnaval 2026 went to Gabriela Croes, representing TOB Carnival Group. Her powerful performance, strong stage presence, and meaningful tribute captivated the audience and secured her place as Aruba’s newest Carnaval queen.
A Weekend Filled With Carnaval Energy
The election night served as the grand finale of a weekend packed with Carnaval activities. Celebrations began on Friday with the Festival di Calypso and Roadmarch, continued on Saturday with the election of the Reina Hubenil and Sra. Carnaval, and concluded on Sunday night with the crowning of the Reina Infantil and Reina di Carnaval 2026.
