Aruba aims to have the most modern airport in the Caribbean

Minister Dangui Oduber, leading Aruba’s tourism endeavors, recently toured Queen Beatrix Airport to witness firsthand the remarkable progress of the Gateway 2030 project, Phase 1A. This monumental undertaking, set to redefine travel standards, left Minister Oduber profoundly impressed with its seamless execution and forward-thinking design.

Gateway 2030 represents a colossal investment of $143 million, poised to generate between 200 to 300 job opportunities directly or indirectly through AAA. It’s not just about expanding and renovating our airport; it’s about revolutionizing the travel experience for all.

Hassle-free efficiency
One of the project’s standout features is the implementation of cutting-edge technology, including the most advanced baggage handling system in the entire Caribbean and Latin America. This system promises unparalleled efficiency and speed, ensuring a hassle-free journey for passengers.

What truly sets this project apart is its emphasis on local involvement. From conception to execution, Gateway 2030 is driven by local contractors, workers, and materials sourced within Aruba itself. This not only fosters economic growth but also instills a sense of pride within the community.

Aruba’s ambition extends beyond mere infrastructure improvements; it aspires to become the foremost destination for air travel in the region. Upon completion, Queen Beatrix Airport will stand as a shining example of modernity and innovation, capable of handling a significantly increased influx of passengers and aircraft.

A New Travel Experience
Minister Oduber, accompanied by the leadership team of AAA, reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to the project’s success. With Phase 1A well underway, plans for subsequent phases, including Phase 1B, are already in motion. The completion of Gateway 2030 will mark a new era in Aruba’s aviation industry, offering travelers an unparalleled experience from check-in to boarding.

Indeed, Aruba’s journey towards the pinnacle of air travel is not just a testament to its commitment to progress but also a promise to deliver excellence in every aspect of the travel experience. As the project continues to unfold, it is poised to set new standards for airports across the globe, reaffirming Aruba’s position as a trailblazer in the realm of tourism and infrastructure development.
