Aruba Lights Out for Earth Hour 2024

Aruba Lights Out for Earth Hour 2024

Join the Movement: Earth Hour 2024

Ready to make a difference for our planet? This Saturday, join the global Earth Hour movement as Aruba dims the lights from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm local time. Governments and businesses across all six islands of the Kingdom are coming together to show their love for nature and raise awareness about climate change.

Unifying Forces

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF-NL) is leading the charge in the Netherlands, and now, the Dutch Caribbean is joining in on the action too! Local governments and businesses are excited to participate, showing their commitment to protecting our beautiful planet.

Taking Action Together

Earth Hour is about more than just turning off lights. It’s a chance for all of us to come together and take action for the environment. Let’s make this the Biggest Hour For Earth yet! Last year, we collectively contributed over 410,000 hours of environmental support worldwide. This year, let’s top that by dedicating 60 minutes to doing something positive for our planet. Whether it’s planting trees, reducing plastic waste, or supporting renewable energy, every little bit counts!

A Global Movement: From Sydney to Aruba

Started in Sydney back in 2007, Earth Hour has grown into a global movement for nature conservation. Beyond the hour of darkness, it’s about embracing sustainable habits every day. From eating more plant-based meals to recycling and beyond, there are so many ways to make a difference.

Let’s Shine Together

Let’s all come together to turn off our lights and unplug unnecessary electronics. Share this moment with your loved ones, and let’s make it a special time for our island. Whether you choose to gather at the beach, enjoy a peaceful park outing, or create a cozy atmosphere in your backyard, add some candlelight to enhance the experience.

Our local hotels are also joining in by turning off non-essential lights, showing their dedication to sustainability.

Mark your calendars and get ready to shine a light on climate action this Saturday. By participating in Earth Hour, you’re showing that you care about our planet’s future. Together, let’s make Earth Hour 2024 one to remember and create a brighter, greener world for us all!
