ORANJESTAD, Aruba — It’s fight week, and Damian Pinas is once again carrying Aruba with him onto the UFC stage.
On Saturday, October 3, 2026, Pinas will face Russia’s Andrey Pulyaev in a middleweight bout at UFC 332: Silva vs. Wang, taking place at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The matchup is officially listed on the UFC preliminary card. (UFC)
For Pinas, the fight represents another opportunity to showcase his talent while representing the island he calls home. Although he was born in Paramaribo, Suriname, Pinas was raised in Aruba from age 16. The UFC officially lists him as fighting out of Oranjestad, Aruba, and describes him as the only fighter from Suriname and Aruba currently on its roster. (UFC)
Pinas enters UFC 332 with a professional record of 10 wins and one loss, including nine victories by knockout or TKO. His first two UFC appearances both ended with first-round stoppage victories: he stopped Wesley Schultz in February before knocking out Cesar Almeida in July. (UFC)
Standing across from him will be Andrey Pulyaev, a Russian middleweight who enters the matchup with a 10-5 professional record. Pulyaev earned his UFC contract through Dana White’s Contender Series in 2024 and has six professional knockout victories and two submission wins. (UFC)
