Aruba Airport Authority N.V., the organization responsible for managing and operating Queen Beatrix International Airport, and Aruba Conservation Foundation (ACF) have officially signed a five-year strategic partnership for the period 2026 to 2030. The agreement focuses on restoring parts of the Ser’i Teishi protected area through native biodiversity enhancement.
Through this multi-year commitment, Aruba Airport Authority will support the phased restoration of native vegetation within the protected landscape. The initiative aims to strengthen local ecosystems, improve habitat resilience, and safeguard Aruba’s unique flora and fauna. Particular attention will be given to the protection of essential pollinators and other species that play a vital role in maintaining ecological balance.
Ser’i Teishi is one of Aruba’s important natural areas, and restoring indigenous plant species is a critical step in preserving the island’s biodiversity. By reintroducing and nurturing native vegetation, the project will help rebuild natural habitats, prevent land degradation, and contribute to long-term environmental sustainability.
