The Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) is proud to present the calendar for September 2025, a month dedicated to tourism but also a time to honor our culture, celebrate art, and bring the community together through various activities.
The month kicks off with the initiative Ban Keiro Cu Zjeitu from September 1 to 3. Zjeitu is a local cultural band whose mission is to amplify, preserve, and share the traditional cultural sounds of Aruba, Curaçao, and Bonaire. This band combines different traditional rhythms infused with modern beats, stories, and performances in our native Papiamento language. Zjeitu will visit 11 adult care homes and organize a day out for people with special needs, bringing joy, cultural pride, and nostalgia to everyone. This is a heartfelt effort to honor and recognize the generations who have helped build our cultural foundation.
Art and creativity will shine during ArtWeek, starting on September 1 with ArtTable, followed by ArtFashion on September 3. ArtWeek will culminate with the ArtFair from September 5 to 7, turning San Nicolas into a major cultural hub featuring local and international artwork.
Aruba will also celebrate culture with the Parada di Lanterna on September 5, illuminating the streets of Brazil. On Sunday, September 7, the grand Parada Folklore Cultural will take place—a parade large and small, where people from all over Aruba can admire our beautiful culture. Each year, participants wear traditional clothing accompanied by music, dance, and lots of joy. On Sunday, September 28, the second edition of Vibracion Cultural will take place in Savaneta.
Education also has an important place in the calendar with Voices of Tourism from September 9 to 11. Different schools across Aruba have been invited to sessions with internationally renowned speaker Trent Shelton and local speaker Rodrick “Rocco” Franken. These sessions aim to inspire and motivate students facing the challenging task of choosing their next steps for their careers.
A.T.A.’s annual World Tourism Day Conference on September 19 will bring together different industry members to discuss a more sustainable and balanced future for tourism. The Aruba community will celebrate World Tourism Day on September 27. The month will also conclude with the presence of the Aruba Tourism Authority representing Aruba in New York during Climate Week.
From September 22 to 25, the culinary industry will take center stage with the Culinary Education Experience, involving schools such as EPB Oranjestad, EPB San Nicolas, and Colegio EPI. The purpose of this project is to connect students with culinary professionals and industry suppliers, giving them more knowledge about the current state of the industry.
